Hispanic Heritage Month Calendar

Congrats to Dr. Amaro and Angel Calderon for completing the most stamps for the Hispanic Heritage Month Stamp Calendar!

Library Card Sign-Up

On May 22nd 2019, librarians from the Plainfield Public Library, Ms. Vicky Terrones and Mr. Andrew Eason visited our Media Center to sign students up for library cards.

The event was AWESOME! Close to 50 students came to sign up or renew their library cards! Students came during their lunch periods and were able to win prizes if they signed up.

Ms. Rogers/Mr. Padilla's class even came as a group to sign up and win prizes! Thanks Ms. Rogers and Mr. Padilla!

The most popular and coveted prize were rubber duckies but some students won Bluetooth speakers and one lucky student even won an Amazon Fire tablet! We hope to have the PPL back in the media center soon!

Some of the highly coveted rubber duckies were graciously donated to Mr. Pecoraro for his well established curation! Bert, Ernie and Little Richard would be proud!

Special thanks to Ms. Terrones and Mr. Eason for making this event awesome!!!

Women's History Month Event

Ms. Johnson and her RARE Academy came to the Media Center to host a fantastic and fun-filled event honoring Women's History Month by educating the school community about Women's issues and history. Stations were set up in which students could learn about an issue, have a bingo card stamped and then be entered to win a prize by successfully completing their bingo card. The group also solicited donations for feminine hygiene products that were later donated to a women's shelter. The music filled atmosphere was incredibly fun and students especially had fun with their photo booth!

Photos to come shortly!
